Mass rejection of UAE visas

Earlier we informed about delay in UAE visas from Sharjah and Dubai. Since last week of April 2024, there has been mass rejection in visa applications for citizens of Bangladesh, Egypt and Pakistan from the Emirate of Sharjah.

Applications posted from 27th April 2024 have been rejected by immigration authorities without any explanation. Those rejected include individual Male and Female applicants, as well as family visitors.

It is unclear whether the new applications will be approved or the rejection would remain in place for a long term. Last year the Emirate of Abu Dhabi had stopped issuing visas for Pakistani Nationals whereas the Emirate of Dubai was only approving visas for those over 45 years or family visitors only.
